Abstract:

Market pressures and enabling technology are driving the "system on a chip" (SOC) to reality.

At the same time, the issues of Design Re-Use and Portability will have major impact on both the system level design methodology and the system models for "virtual component" blocks or Intellectual Property (IP).

This seminar will discuss these little understood issues and their effect on the Virtual Component block (IP) provider, and the ASIC provider, both essential to the success of the "system on a chip" designer.
